Participants

The Green New Deal Superstudio open call ran from August 1, 2020 until June 30, 2021. Participation was open to all design schools, professional practices, design and planning related organizations, and individuals.

Superstudio participants included:

  • 182 design studios at 93 universities in 39 states and 10 countries with 2,500+ students and 150+ faculty participating over the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters

  • More than 300 landscape architects and design professionals working in groups, in partnership with studios, or as individuals

Participants were encouraged to partner with firms, universities, local groups, and policymakers. Many of them collaborated with local partners and community based-organizations to ground their ideas in existing efforts and opportunities.

Note that not all participants submitted projects.
